Already Read It! : A "Novel" Game 23

Can you guess the title and author of the novel depicted in the picture?

DIFFICULTY : Medium

CLUE : Majestic events take place in this swine-ish novel.

The author of this novel had to be a sorcerer, psychic, or a prophet, right? Based on all of this author's totalitarian plots, one would think he either knew the future or was causing it to happen; however, if you are well-read or have paid attention in history class, you would realize this author was none of the sort, but just a gifted logician who created characters, situations, and worlds based on actual historical figures, events, and countries. This author's dim outlook on totalitarian government and ideals is most likely not too far-fetched, creating entertaining and thought-provoking stories where the main characters don't always win, but simply survive, if they are lucky.
I remember coming home from the bars and clubs at 2am and reading one of the other famous totalitarian novels from this author. I just couldn't wait to find out what happened to Winston and his few friends, if you can call them friends. And when I awoke in the morning, book on my chest and still in the same clothes from the night before, I would read a few more pages before I began to clean myself up from the night before. Once I was done with making myself presentable, with coffee in hand, I would read the novel once again. This went on for about two weeks (I read very slowly, but I have a near perfect recall) and I remember it all so vividly. It's amazing how you can time and connect your life to the books, music, and movies you consume.
