Witty Wordsmiths 106

Patrick Warburton ; “Lemony Snicket” ; “A Series Of Unfortunate Events” (Netflix Series)

“If writers wrote as carelessly as some people talk, then adhasdh asdglaseuyt[bn[ pasdlgkhasdfasdf.”

~ Lemony Snicket

If you have never read this man's work, you might not appreciate the weighted humor and clever wit in this quotation. As silly as it sounds, it is loaded with underlying meaning. Just think about it: on one hand, it is a statement on how people run their mouths without concern, spreading mistruths or rumors, filling other people's heads with gibberish and how writer's have the same awful potential to do so; on the other hand, it simply pokes fun at people who say silly things, do not understand what they are talking about, or embelish truths with rambling and incoherent meanings. So if you have thought about it now, what is this post really saying to you?
