I got the idea for this label from one of my favorite bloggers and social media friends: I have tons of pictures I download from my daily queries and random searches, but I don't share them all because I try to only pick the ones I evaluate to be the best or the ones I consider to be my favorites for my humble posts; however, I've chosen to post these discarded pictures anyway under this gigantic label. This is story is from 2015 but its message is still valuable now. Professor Engelberg is from Jerusalem and represents a very family-oriented society and a culture putting education above everything. Secondly, because of compulsory military service, Israeli students tend to begin college at an older age and are more likely to have young children.

Yale graduate William Chester Minor was an American army surgeon who became one of the largest contributors to the Oxford English Dictionary by providing usages of words from his antiquated book collection. He did this over the course of years while being committed to an insane asylum after being found not guilty by insanity for murder. He also used books brought to him by the widow of the man he killed. Minor’s mental condition deteriorated with age and in 1902, due to delusions that he was being abducted nightly from his rooms and conveyed to places as far away as Istanbul and forced to commit sexual assaults on children, he cut off his own penis using a knife he had employed in his work on the dictionary.

A Chinese author, Liu Yongbiao, based some of the murders in his books on ones he had actually committed years earlier. He was convicted in 2018 of killing four people in 1994 and he was sentenced to death. In a preface to his 2010 novel titled The Guilty Secret, Liu said he was already at work on a follow-up about an author who’s committed a series of gruesome murders and evaded capture. In the end he never wrote it, though he already had a title in mind: The Beautiful Writer Who Killed.

Henry Heinz deliberately put his ketchup in clear glass bottles which was uncommon due to a lack of food safety standards. Unethical companies used colored bottles to hide shoddy product and he worked with a chemist who went on to find foods containing gypsum, brick dust, borax, and formaldehyde in these products.

In 2017 two students in Scotland entered an art gallery and finding an empty table, placed a pineapple there to see if people would take it for art. When they returned 4 days later, the pineapple was covered with glass protection.
