Already Read It! : A "Novel" Game 28

Can you guess the title and author of the novel depicted in the picture?

DIFFICULTY : Hard

CLUE : Mary Mary quite contrary, learns to juggle her spunky nature with moderate agreeableness in the most "secret" of manners.

I often wonder how a novel would have affected me if I had read it at a younger age, because as an adult, our world's are so influenced and muddled with other people's ideas and experiences it is hard to decipher our own thoughts. And as with this novel, I read it very much as an adult. I immediately recognized the plot, how the characters were going to grow and change, and pretty much how the main conflict would be resolved, but I kept reading anyway. It is a very nice change every now and then to read something solely written with the purpose of instilling hope, spreading understanding, and championing the goodness in humans. If you have not yet read this novel, please, take the time. It is a very easy read, even with the vocabulary of the time it was written, and it will hold your interest by making you care about the characters in a way very seldom effected upon readers.
